The Western States Trucking Association established the Scholarship Awards Program in 1991 to assist qualified students in achieving their educational goals. Winning scholars will receive the awarded amount to be deposited in their name at the Financial Aid Office of the Campus they will be attending, for use when purchasing books, supplies and tuition fees.

HOW TO QUALIFY
The student must be a direct relative of a member/affiliate member or their employees (son or daughter, grandson or granddaughter). The student will need a letter of recommendation from the direct relative of that member or affiliate sponsoring them.
NOTE: student being considered must be the direct relative of an association member, (children of an affiliate member can apply too).
They will also need to have graduated with a minimum 3.0 GPA (out of 4.0), be a graduate from a state high school or equivalent program, they must also submit an essay about themselves (200 words or less), and an application, along with transcripts.
NOTE: Certain elements which cannot be met under these Qualification Guidelines may be reviewed by the scholarship committee.
Eligible students should be enrolled in a Junior College or a University, carry an average of (12) units per semester and maintain a minimum (3.0) grade average for further award considerations.
HOW TO GET STARTED
Students interested in applying for this Scholarship could download the applications With in the Application & forms page on this site or call the office (909) 982-9898 and request an application. Scholarship applications will be accepted throughout the year.
- Scholarship applications must be postmarked no later than the 3rd (third) Friday in July of each calendar year.
The winners will be notified by the office and their names and photos will be published in one or all of the following, the WTN Magazine, WSTA Enewsletter and Scholarship website page.
